Behind the Music

Texas-born and Nashville-based, singer-songwriter Megan Kelley began her journey on Texas opry stages, drawing early inspiration from the melodies of Wynonna, Mariah Carey, Pam Tillis, and Brandy, along with the lyrical craftsmanship of Dean Dillon, Brandy Clark, and Miranda Lambert. Today, she is known for capturing raw emotion and sharp storytelling in collaborations with fellow songwriters and emerging artists. Refusing to be confined to a single genre, Megan crafts songs rooted in personal experience and real-life stories that resonate deeply with listeners.

Her songs have been recorded by Jenna Kay, Billy Dutch, McKenna Faith Winters, and Emma James, among others. A 2025 finalist with Texas Songwriter U, she co-wrote “Want To” by Emma James with Greyson Campbell and Emma James, which landed on the BMI Texas Ten playlist. She also co-wrote “Pretty Good” with Abbey Rowe and Cedric Israel; the song earned 3rd place in the International Songwriting Competition. Dedicated to the songwriting community, she continues to create heartfelt, impactful music.
