Behind the Music
Nashville-based songwriter, hailing from Texas, Megan Kelley found inspiration in the melodies of Martina McBride, Pam Tillis, and Trisha Yearwood, and the lyrical craftsmanship of Matraca Berg, Dean Dillon, Brandy Clark, and Miranda Lambert.
Beginning her journey singing on Texas opry stages, Megan has evolved into a skilled storyteller, adept at capturing raw emotions in her collaborations with fellow songwriters and emerging artists. Drawing inspiration from her own experiences as well as stories of the people around her, Megan does not limit her writing to one genre but strives to create songs that resonate with listeners and touch their hearts.
Megan is recognized as "One to Watch" by the Nashville Songwriters Association International, and her talents have earned honorable mention from American Songwriter and landed her as a 2022 semi-finalist and 2023 finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Megan’s songs have been recorded by Nashville recording artists, Hannah McDonald, McKenna Faith Winters, Jessica Nixon, and Emma James, and she eagerly continues to engage with and support others in the Nashville songwriting community.
